For close to a decade Amy Collins swore she'd never leave New York City, the capitalist's capital, where anything can be.

Never say never.

The former restaurant and wine industry hand has landed in small town Florence, Alabama where she grows vegetables and raises chickens around a freelance journalism, copy writing & whatever else might fall into her lap.

A regular contributor for Shoals Magazine, Collins also leads fiction writing workshops through the Lauderdale Public Library with friend and fellow writer Dr. Robert Koch of University of North Alabama.
